Dear Families,

On behalf of the staff at Del Norte Elementary, we are excited to welcome you to our brand new school! We continue to look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our commitment to your children. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

~  attends school daily and arrives on time- our goal this year is “LESS THAN FIVE” absences!

~  completes all homework assignments given by teachers.

~  reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills.

~  shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life.

~  knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school.

Please consider volunteering in classrooms as our students greatly benefit from your involvement and contribution to the school and its operations. We also seek volunteers to participate in the Advisory School Counsel and the Indian Education Committee. If you are interested in joining any of these, please contact the school office.

It is very important that you and your child are fully informed regarding various school processes at Del Norte Elementary.  Please read the weekly correspondence sent home to families and feel free to contact the school office if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions to make Del Norte Elementary the best school it can possibly be.

The Del Norte staff feels privileged to be a part of our school family. We thank you for your support and look forward to a wonderful year!
